Ellenbrook, circa 1858, is the historic home of William Alexander Stuart, founder of the Stuart Land and Cattle Company. The home is located one mile east of Route 19 on Route 80E toward Meadowview. The landscape is complete with an English Garden and a tent pad for weddings, parties, etc. We have hosted parlor concerts, garden clubs, and more. Guided tour includes main floor and garden. A mini-museum associated with the home is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each Monday and Tuesday, displaying articles, memorabilia and artifacts associated with the Stuart family and land. A guided tour of the first floor is given by the caretakers Sam and Martha Varney. Admission is free. For information or changes in hours call 276-880-2226
